How to: Format connecting lines in an organization chart.
Solution:
While editing the organization chart, select the connection, and use the necessary commands under the 'Boxes' menu.
1) Select (single-click) the desired organization chart. (Handles appear around the border.)

2) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'MS Org Chart Object'. (A submenu appears.)

3) Select 'Edit' from the submenu. (The organization chart window appears with the toolbar tools and menu commands active.)
4) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Select' from inside the chart window. (A submenu appears.)
5) Select 'Connecting Lines' from the 'Select' submenu. (All connecting lines are selected.)
6) Select the 'Boxes' menu and select 'Line Thickness' from inside the chart window. (A submenu appears.)
7) Select the desired line thickness for the connecting lines from the 'Line Thickness' submenu. (The thickness is applied to all connecting lines.)

8) Select 'Line Color' from the 'Boxes' menu inside the chart window. (A submenu appears.)
9) Select the desired line color for the connecting lines from the 'Line Color' submenu. (The color is applied to all connecting lines.)

10) Select the 'Boxes' menu and select 'Line Style' from inside the chart window. (A submenu appears.)
11) Select the desired line style for the connecting lines from the 'Line Style' submenu. (The line style is applied to all connecting lines.)

12) Select 'File' menu and select 'Close' from inside the organizational chart window to close the Organization Chart box edit window. (A note appears asking whether to update the organization chart.)
13) Click 'Yes'.
